interior inspiration : vintage masculine.

My friend Abby recently mentioned wanting to emulate the masculine vintage look of Portland's Ace Hotel in her & her husband's home and asked for some inspiration, so I thought it would be fun to do a post dedicated to that style (a style that my own husband is also rather enamored with.) Dark wood, deep colors, and antique accents. I love it.

Also, if anyone else needs inspiration for a certain kind of look, please let me know. I would love to help!

    those images are gorgeous! Kind of haunting in a way, very dark and indeed very masculine. you should do delicate feminine next or interiors for the independent working female.

    I love every single image, I must be secretly masculine..who knew?! I LOVE the bookcase/room divider in the third image,I've been looking for the perfectly proportioned (and perfectly priced) bookcase for over 2 years now! Sigh.

    Hallelujah! as a man addicted to the design world it is nice to finally see an entire post I can enjoy without a single compromise. Not that I dont like bright colors and such, but now and then it is nice to grunt and point at everything rather than only a few things!
