I just realized while doing this that I might just have an obsession with photographs of eggs. I found that I have 180 images of them saved in my Flickr favorites. Odd indeed!
Anyways, I wish you all a wonderful Easter weekend. Eat/find lots of eggs and plenty of bunny-shaped chocolates.

freebie(s) of the day : easter!
This afternoon I have quite a few Easter-themed freebies to print out and have fun with over the weekend. How will you be celebrating the holiday (if you do)?
Spagat Blog recently posted a fabulous print-out of sweet eggs and rabbits to hang around for decoration which can be found here (isn't her tree display just lovely?). Via Creature Comforts.
I received an email last week from Rachel of Benign Objects, telling me she would love to share this wonderful Easter card with my readers. I love the illustration on this one so much.
And of course, it wouldn't be a holiday without free Martha Stewart goodies. Shown above are: Crepe Paper Easter Creations, Easter Bunny Box, Bunny Garland, and Easter Animal Menagerie Centerpiece. More ideas and templates can be found right here.
light my fire : a candlestick collection.
One of Design is Mine's readers, Honora of by its own design, recently emailed me asking if I would be willing to help her out with finding some pretty candlesticks, since they were the only thing she didn't get when married last spring. tea for two.

Is it any surprise that I am crushing over these tea pot sets designed by Shinzi Katoh? I have been a longtime fan of Shinzi's illustrations/products, but these might be my favorite ones yet (Spotted at doe, currently out of stock.)
some orla kiely interior inspiration.
It is no secret around here that I am terribly obsessed with Orla Kiely. I realize that her patterns can be a little played out, but I really don't mind. In my opinion, her simple and colorful patterns are my idea of design perfection (and might I add that this might just be the most perfect blouse ever?)
And so, on this dreary Portland day, here is some Orla Kiely bright and sunny interior inspiration.

ward jenkins.

I am quite excited to announce that the fabulous and ever-so creative Ward Jenkins now has a brand new portfolio site up! His art style is one of my favorites, reflecting mid-century children's book art and old hip hop style. (Pssst, he's also the husband of Andrea of Hula Seventy- what a creative household!)
Also, be sure to check out Ward's Etsy shop, where he recently put up seven brand new prints. And his blog is darn great. Keep up the awesome work, Ward!

For the past month or so, I have been quite obsessed with the blog Lovely Package. One of my favorite forms of graphic art is package design, and the folks behind the blog really have an eye for collecting the best of it. Would I purchase any of these products just for the beautiful packaging? You betcha.
All of the following images/businesses/designers were found via Lovely Package. Enjoy!

It is one of my favorite interior looks. I have always dreamed of living in a big loft with one huge deep red brick wall.

Gotta love this Hells Yeah print from Bread & Butter Shop (5 x 7, $8).
