interior inspiration : beach houses.

After living on the beach for over ten years, I still get a yearning to have a house along the sea, at least to run off to during the hot summer months. For now though, I can just look at pretty beach homes and daydream, right?

currently wishing...

that I could write as beautifully as Bryn Chernoff of paperfinger. My unopened calligraphy set has been getting dusty in the closet- I need to teach myself this summer.

cori kindred's studio.

As previously mentioned, last Sunday I got to spend an afternoon at Cori Kindred's art studio. I snapped a ton of photos there with my film camera, so I thought it would be nice to share how beautiful her creative space is. All of the photographs I took can be found right here, as well as some that the ever-talented Abby Powell-Thompson posted here. Isn't it completely beautiful?

pop-up party inspiration.

When flipping through the most recent issue of Martha Stewart Weddings at a friend's house last night, I fell madly in love with these absolutely beautiful Pop-Up Party Decorations. Such amazing ideas- I want to throw a huge party just to try them all out.

Whenever I am in the mood for a heavy dose of inspiration, I head on over to one of my favorite blogs: Once Wed. The weddings featured on there are always out of a dream and the galleries are the perfect things to flip through when looking for ideas for parties, photographs, decorating, food displays and of course, weddings. Be still my heart... can my husband and I get married all over again?

interior inspiration : studio spaces.

I really love seeing the spaces of other artists and designers. After visiting my friend Cori's stunning treasure-filled Sellwood studio yesterday (seen in the fourth photo above), I am now completely inspired to turn our garage into a studio of my own. Perhaps if I did it I would finally feeling motivated to start creating again. I think everyone needs a little place of their own to be able to get away from home and work in.
