muse.

I know I have mentioned Ez quite a few times this week, but I just have to let you all know that she now has another brand new blog entitled MUSE. MUSE is a strictly image-based weblog featuring extremely beautiful photographs and eye-catching visuals. Ez is known for having an amazing eye for gorgeous aesthetics, so I am sure this will be a wonderful resource for daily inspiration. Good job, dear!

corners of bloggers' homes.

Lately I spend a large portion of my time online looking at corners of people's homes. Few things are more inspiring than taking peeks into the apartments and houses of others, seeing how each person creates a space that is their own. So it is no surprise that I completely adore seeing the homes of my fellow design bloggers, the people who have strong eyes for all things aesthetically pleasing. Here are a few of my favorite corners from the homes of Holly of Decor 8, Ez of Creature Comforts, Grace of Design Sponge, Victoria of sfgirlbybay, and Anna of Door Sixteen.

design sponge : pr notes.

Last night's Portland Biz Ladies Meetup was fabulous and chocked full of great information. It was wonderful finally getting to meet Grace Bonney and hear her speak. I am excited to say that she has posted her independent design public relations notes online for anyone to download - I highly recommend reading them if you are an artist/designer and want to learn from someone who has been in the PR business.

Thanks Grace!

bakerella.

I just found Bakerella through Hostess with the Mostess. Oh my, what a beautiful food blog! There is so much gorgeous eye candy and creative baking ideas. She makes me impatiently await the day I can take a cake decorating class.

beatrice peltre.

I just recently came across the work of Beatrice Peltre, a food writer, food stylist, and wonderful food photographer. Beatrice also runs La Tartine Gourmet, an award-winning food blog where she posts her pictures and adventures with food. It is always so inspiring to find someone with so much talent. If you are interested in seeing even more of her mouth-watering images, check out her Flickr page (and dream of eating lemon mousse and cinnamon tea cakes).

pretty pastels.

In regards to this post by Holly, I decided to join in and do my own take on a kitchen for a home with a yellow and pretty pastels color scheme. There is something so wonderful about sharing ideas and contributing your own.

This is Holly's living room plan:

Ez designed this pretty little office (link):

And here is my contribution:

Pictured: Songbird Dessert Plates, 3-Tier Hanging Basket, 3 Eggs Print, Ceramic Tea Canister, Jug, Versatile Cappuccino & Espresso Machine in Sunburst Yellow, Ada Hanging Vase, Rose Oilcloth Fabric, and Sage Green Calais Island

What do you think? Wouldn't this be a lovely home to live in?

posie : rosy little things.

I'm sure many of you have read the weblog of the ever-so lovely Alicia Paulson. I frequently get completely lost in her beautiful photographs and entries. She used to run a boutique here in Portland, but now sells her handmade goods through the web here. I'm absolutely looking forward to her book Stiched Souveniers: 30 Special Simple Things To Sew, which comes out next fall.
