keller.
I am adoring these looks and photographs from Keller's Spring/Summer 2010 collection. They have me craving another pair of simple leather shoes and more days of sunshine.

flickr friday : natural wonders.
Today I am yearning to bring my old camera to a forest or mountaintop. If only it wasn't pouring down buckets here...

Loving these made-to-order pirouette pinwheels by the lovely Sue Eggen of Giant Dwarf. I would love to stick one in each of the potted plants in our home, to bring a little bit of summertime indoors. ($12)

mysterious letters.
"In April 2009, we sent a personal, handwritten letter to each of the 467 households in the small Irish village of Cushendall. We hoped these unsolicited letters would prompt neighbourly discussion, spreading across the town, promoting community curiosity. In November 2009, we sent another bundle of letters, this time 620, to each home in Polish Hill, Pittsburgh, USA."
Projects like this truly inspire me and make life a little more interesting.

thought of the day : optimism.
"I'm Looking Forward To One Day Being Optimistic," from the portfolio of Matthew Walkerdine. I hear ya, Matthew.
A NOMADIC WONDERLAND.
Truly mouth-dropping work by London textile designer Eunsuk Hur. I think I could curl up and fall asleep in all those soft layers. (Via Oh Joy!)
ten images of inspiration : the selby.
The Selby is by far one of my favorite websites on the internet. Somehow photographer/illustrator Todd Selby manages to truly catch people in their natural environments, displaying images of interiors that do not seem to be set up for a photograph in any way. He shows the messes and clutter and little details that make up a real home, from the insides of their medicine cabinets, pantries, and closets to piles of books and collections. So, needless to say, I am terribly excited that a Selby book is coming out this spring- I cannot wait!

Loving these photographs of "Christine" by Mads Teglers. She looks like a doll (Psst, check out all the other galleries on his site- they are breathtaking.)

monday morning music : he's gone.
Good morning! Did you all have a lovely weekend? Portland was unusually spring-like, with clear skies and a whole lot of sunshine. I happily enjoyed a picnic in a park, ate the most delicious crepes of my life (if you visit or live in town, you must have one at The Press Club), and spent plenty of time with my old camera. Quite a fabulous weekend, I must say.
If I haven't mentioned it before, I am rather obsessed with girl groups from the 60's. The harmonies, love-gone-wrong lyrics, and dreamy sound... I can listen to them for hours. I saw The Vivian Girls recently (one of my new favorite bands), and they did a gorgeous cover of the song "He's Gone" by The Chantels. I was going to post the cover, but I found this performance of The Chantels when they were older and it is too beautiful not to share. Enjoy!

smallable.
These looks from Smallable are too cute. I think their apparel might just be the most stylish children's clothing I have seen. I have said it before and I'll say it again: the French know how to rock it. (Via happy cavalier)
the greatest thing since...
How creative is this Sliced Bread Notebook designed by Burak Kaynak? It comes with twelve notebook "bread slices," one for each month. I love it.
