ten images of inspiration : the beauty of film.
Film- there's nothing that compares. Ever since I started really taking pictures with my Canon 35mm, I haven't been able to go back to digital. There is just something so enchanting about the colors, textures, and grain (oh, that grain) of film. As much as I love many digital photographs, I find that the look of film photography just cannot be duplicated. Plus, there is something to say about only getting a certain number of shots and not instantly knowing what a photo is going to look like. Viva la film!

ReplyDeleteI wholeheartedly agree. Film is so rich and lovely and textured. It's why I fell in love with photography.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I love the blue colours:)
ReplyDeleteI adore these, especially the first one. So beautiful! I love shooting film above anything else!
ReplyDeleteYou're so right. Film is forever! What are you going to do if your computer crashes? All important events should be documented with film. I majored in photography, developing and printing my own pictures throughout. People say "whats the good in that?" they don't know what they are missing!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I definitely agree, there is nothing like film. I look at my parents old photos and long for mine to look like that but digital just can't deliver that.
ReplyDeleteAbby is just amazing.
ReplyDeleteComing from someone in their younger twenties, this probably sounds... odd... but I hate digital photography. I was a Photography major originally, but my real passion for it was developing and printing my own prints. Digital is great for many reasons, but my heart will always belong to film.
ReplyDeleteLove these photos in this post.
So beautiful! i love the blue color.
ReplyDeleteI so agree with you! Film gives really incomparable pictures, with a lot more feelings, or poetry, as if it was able to communicate better, to show better the reality... well, in my opinion ;)
ReplyDeleteI love film. I took photography with film for school, and now I can't go back to digital. I love develepping my films myself. It's a magic moment when you are alone in the dark with your photos. I love this silence.
